With me being Scottish and my husband Anthony being French, and having lived in both countries, our home has one foot in each culture. We speak a mess of Frenglish and navigate the subtle and not-so-subtle differences between French and Scottish takes on most aspects of life.

While our major day of celebration in Scotland is the 25th, no French Christmas is complete without a lavish, late night feast on the 24th 🦞🍾 (my humble pyjama-clad Christmas Eve film tradition would go down like a lead balloon).

While we have Love Actually, The Holiday and It’s a Wonderful Life, in France they have beloved dark comedy Le père noel est une ordure and Les Bronzés Font du Ski.

Our plans to spend Christmas in France have been derailed😭, so this week I’ve lost myself in an internet warren of brands I love in search of little nods to France and French culture.
